WHEN GENES GO AWRY - Living with Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome

I’ve had the vHL gene ever since I was in utero. However, the faulty mutation started manifesting a little later, in my advanced teens. So far, I have endured a lot, with more to go through in the near future. But at this point I can feel that a book about my life with vHL is ripening within me, and that the experiences themselves are nagging to be shared. As a still rather obscure illness often misdiagnosed, especially in the less developed countries, even a tiny contribution to the raising of the awareness of it would be a success. And what a better way to introduce it but to tell the personal story about my genes gone awry.
