POLITIČKI PLAKAT U NDH

Svojevrsnim albumom plakata nastalih i korištenih u Nezavisnoj Državi Hrvatskoj i u njegovom sklopu nizom kraćih tekstova o toj problematici Stjepan Bekavac i Mario Jareb žele stručnoj ali i široj javnosti predstaviti te zasigurno najatraktivnije proizvode osovinskih sustava medija i promidžbe – onoga NDH i sustava njemačke vojne promidžbe.

Iako su i drugi autori bili svjesni činjenice kako je dobar dio osovinskih plakata u NDH bio zapravo njemačkoga podrijetla (Varina Jurica Turk u katalogu dubrovačkih plakata iz godine 2010.), ipak je ovo prvi rad dostupan cjelokupnoj hrvatskoj javnosti u kojemu je o tome nedvosmisleno progovoreno. Objava reprodukcija velikoga broja plakata svrstanih u tematski zaokružene skupine i isticanje činjenice kako su likovna rješenja niza plakata iskorištena u oblikovanju drugih medijskih i promidžbenih proizvoda (dopisnice, naljepnice, vinjete…) omogućuju ne samo upoznavanje plakatne produkcije u NDH nego mogu biti i temelj za daljnja istraživanja te problematike koja zasigurno zaslužuje cjelovitu interdisciplinarnu obradu. Autori drže kako je njihovo djelo tek jedan od koraka k ispunjenu toga cilja.

By publishing a kind of the album of posters created and used in the Independent State of Croatia (Nezavisna Država Hrvatska – NDH) Stjepan Bekavac and Mario Jareb intent to present political posters as the most attractive products of Axis media and propaganda in the NDH both to professionals and to the public in general. The album contains the series of short texts related to that topic. The fact is that a good part of Axis posters was actually of German origin, but this is the first work available to wider public in Croatia and elsewhere in which that is unambiguously presented despite the fact that some other authors were aware of that before (Varina Jurica Turk in the catalogue of Dubrovnik posters published in 2010). The album contains numerous reproductions of the high number of posters which are grouped into thematic groups. Additionally, the fact that the images of numerous posters were exploited in the creation of other media and propaganda products (postcards, stickers, vignettes, etc.) is presented. The publication of the album will allow the reader/user to discover facts related to the poster production in the NDH, but it may also be observed as the basis for further study of this issue that certainly deserves a comprehensive interdisciplinary treatment.
